Engineers as we all know , are caught up in the cobwebs of work work work! *sigh* ..There are days when the work pressure is so high that the food becomes rescue to reach out for!
But then , while ordering and receiving the food ordered seems like the most comfy activity at your workplace, the downside is when you have the same food, probably shelling extra money from your pocket which is the biggest turn off! ;(
I know, ek engineer ka dard , ek engineer hi samjh sakta hai… that’s when a group of engineers got together to re-engineer food and eradicate all food woes!
Thus, “Engineers da Dhaaba” got invented! No prizes in guessing the naam-karan story behind 🙂 Noida has a new culinary experience now 🙂
My Experience Kahani….My Zubaani
Now since I too am a software engineer , working in Noida, totally a food enthusiast,I had to order food from here. And so I opened Zomato and began surfing their menu.
Hmmm… some really nice , eye-catching and saliva producing names on the menu huh! Not fair for the ones who try to check on their calorific intake , and then the awesome food just let them wander away! 😀
So a all diet-conscious foodies like me may think, I decided to order once in for all, workout a lil harder the next day and satisfy my taste buds today. Thus, from appetizers to main course, to salad to desserts , I ordered it all.
Hogging on Food
The food arrives…and it’s time now to take you to the food tasting journey with me…so spread your dining napkins, grab hold of your cutlery , sync in your table manners..and get set ready! Here we go…..
I am so hungry, cant start with soup..so I skipped the soup section and straight away dived to the Starters which EDD fondly calls “Zara Bhook Lagi Hai“. I had the yummy murgh-e-kalmi, vegetable bullets and sweet potato with strawberry dip. All these were out of this world! Like seriously , I felt munching on more and more!
I would also like to give special mention to the dips, highly recommend EDD to keep a separate dips section as they are totally slurrpppy! The strawberry dip and the schezwan dip were totally lip smacking!
A special appetizer , worth snacking on is the revolutionary Paper Chicken. Its fried chicken totally crispy but kept in mind thinking about health conscious people like us. The most amazing fact about this is that it is fried and has no oil!! Its a secret recipe that they dont wish to unravel! As they call it Kyunki main dieting pe hun yaar 😉
In ETC. ETC. , I ordered the Burhani Raita. Now honest confession, I am not a raita fan and I have a standard raita recipe that I dont wish to ever wander from, but this one is totally a must have! This section has some distinct salads as well like Walldroff Salad, Khimchi Salad etc that is a rare sight on the delivery menus.
Kadai Chicken is a die for all spicy chicken lovers, from the Pel Ke Khao (Main Course) section.
Finally, kuch meetha hojaye… its time for their chef special Beetroot Halwa and Choco cheese sandwich! If consuming these two is a sin, then am ready to be a serial criminal! :D
